With August on the horizon, back to school is near. Education can take many forms. A wise custodian when working as a teacher librarian once told me it is just a job. When he was not working as a custodian, he engaged in his passion for reptiles for both business and pleasure. Are you willing to take a step and learn more about what you are passionate about? How are you showing up for your job? My nephew reminds me when working, showing up with a servant's heart.
If these quotes from the movie Office Space ring true, "that was supposed to be your career" or "why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam" maybe it is time to step back and reflect where you are in your career journey.
Our intentions to build our dream career may take a backseat to responsibility. But sometimes, even if just for a moment each day or week, I encourage you to put desire ahead of responsibility.
