Summer: The Fire Element

We all contain aspects of the five elements, but some will ring more true than others. According to Dondi Dahlin, “The Five Elements was the basis for understanding how the world works, how societies organize themselves, and what the human body needs to maintain health” (foreword, 2016). With life coaching, it may be beneficial to explore the five elements to help you gain clarity when relating to yourself and others.


Fire personalities enjoy the ride. Parts of the fire personality include carefree, charismatic, enjoy life, energetic, and movement. The fire element can impact the heart and small intestine.


Your small intestine love the following foods:

  • Apples

  • Carrots

  • Raspberries

  • Asparagus


Exercises to Balance Fires

  • Breathwork

  • Dance/Stomp

  • Swimming

  • Yoga


'Tis the season for the fire element. It is summer and time for expansion. But if fire people were animals, they would be dolphins.
